]]> Year 4s escape the classroom to connect with our country鈥檚 Indigenous heritage.

In Week 8, the classes ventured to Port MacDonnell with Uncle Ken, who shared his Boandik knowledge with the group. They spent time walking along the beach and collecting items of interest, before sculpting in the sand to show what they had learnt over the day.
As always, it wouldn鈥檛 be a trip to the beach without a visit to the Fish and Chip shop for some hot chips before returning to town.

On Thursday 7 March, our Junior School athletes took to the oval, and they were out to impress the crowds, with their speed and agility!

Thank you to the volunteers, Parents and Friends Committee and the Year 7 students that came out to support and help make the day fun for the Junior School students!

]]> Christmas has well and truly arrived at St Martins. Well done to everyone involved in November 22’s Junior School Christmas Market and Concert. The night had it all – ice cream, handmade Christmas decorations, carols in Indonesian, art sale, and a big inflatable hippopotamus. Special thanks to St Martin’s Lutheran Church, Mt Gambier for the fantastic BBQ, good company, and ongoing support of the College.

]]> On Thursday November 9, the Year 5 cohort returned from their fun-filled Kangaroobie camp.聽 The class stopped at the Warrnambool playground for lunch before arriving at the Kangaroobie campsite where they visited the beach and went for a night walk around the farm. Students took part in canoeing in the river, a boot camp-style obstacle course and an epic game of water gun chasey. They were even lucky enough to visit the farm animals! On the way back, they visited the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Pt Fairy brought lunch and playground fun, topped off with sweets from the lolly shop.

]]> Over the course of Week 2, both of the Year 4 classes embarked on an exciting journey to the Halls Gap zoo. Over the two days, students enjoyed staying at Camp Acacia and participated in some fun team-building exercises. Highlights of their adventure included getting up close and personal with the animals at the zoo – feeding the deer, watching the meerkats, marveling at the giraffes, and even making friends with the speedy cheetah and the red panda. Students also walked to the Venus baths, and even though the rain couldn鈥檛 hold back, their enthusiasm was not dampened.

]]> On Thursday September 29, Our Year 6 students hit the stage for their 2023 Musical performance ‘Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies’! Students have worked hard all year to put together a pun-filled show, as Robin and his Merry Men aim to defeat the dastardly Sheriff, rescue Maid Marion and overthrow King John – all without laddering their tights! Family and friends packed the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre Thursday night, eager to see the final product come to life. A big thank you to the Year 6 Teachers, Michelle Yates and Sandra Halleday, along with all the parents and volunteers who helped put this year’s musical together!
